Christmas Did Happen

Despite my lack of being on the computer to log the last two months, Christmas did happen at our house. So, even if people are a little (or really) ready to move on from Christmas 2008, I am going to back track, just a bit for my own sake in years to come.
Getting all the Christmas stuff out was much anticipated. All the festivities began just after Thanksgiving. To kick it off, Deacon and I got up at 4:30 a.m. on Black Friday and shopped until 11 in Spokane. We avoided the first four minutes of rush at Walmart, took no part in pushing and shoving and giggled a bit at the the sight of others serious grabbiness. I do enjoy Christmas shopping and cannot think of a single thing besides it that would get me up in the middle of the night in the first trimester. I recovered several days later and all was merry!
This would be the pine tree that WAS growing into the side of our house. This is a view from our second story porch of what later became our very own and free Christmas tree (trimmed a good bit).
